In Lousal, a large portion of the land is owned by SAPEC, which plans a major development – the Essência project – involving the construction of 800 to 1200 homes to attract 1500 to 2000 seniors in an area of 222 hectares, with 89,000 square meters of construction, covering the municipalities of Grândola and Santiago do Cacém.
